Black Pepper carries one of the widest price ranges in this dataset, as spices do, because grade, origin and quality matter enormously โ a premium, well-graded lot and ordinary black pepper can trade at multiples of each other. Rates move on harvest, export demand, currency and, for many spices, speculative storage.
Rates are typically per quintal or per kilogram at wholesale, so always check the unit. The min-max band on each row is essentially the grade spread on the day, and it is usually wider here than for staple crops. On this page, rates are quoted per kg.
